Every couple has a hardship and here’s ours.

I’ve been with him for 6 months. Wait,6 amazing months. Even though he’s mexican and I am asian,that doesn’t change anything at all. We’ve never fought at all. Everytime i start to cry i try to hide away my red nose or my tears but he just grabs my face and tells me “stop hiding your pretty face from my silly.”

Last night was homecoming. He couldn’t go because he didn’t pay his book debts. I was really sad then he brought up the idea of a hotel. How splendid! He reasurred me that we weren’t going to do anything I didn’t like. He was always there for me,always looked into my eyes and told me “I would never hurt you. You’re the last person I want to hurt. Tell me what you’re uncomfortable with and I’ll fix it. Promise. :)

3 weeks before homecoming (Homecoming was on November 19,2010) we started saving money. Getting at least 20 per week. On the final week,we made it! Enough money for the hotel and a small cute dinner. I was excited. Homecoming night finally came. We thanked our guy friends for booking us the suite. We cuddled a bit in bed and then got ready for dinner. Denny’s was next door so we decided to go there. We both love breakfast. :) We got pancakes and everything even though it was 9pm.

Then everything went downhill.

His parents called. They were picking him up. I didn’t understand. They said he COULD stay the night with me. I didn’t get it,why were they tearing him apart from me. .

He told me to not worry. He was going to fix it.

Him: Don’t worry i’ll convince them to let me stay with you tonight.

Me: (Devastated and tears comming down my face)..come back to me soon.

He smiled,gave me a quick kiss and said “I will.” And he walked out the door.

I waited,and waited,and waited. An hour passed by so I finally decided to call. Called 3 times,no answer. I waited 15 mins more to try again. This time his phone was off. I didn’t understand,time dragged longer and i felt colder and more lonely. I called once more,and his father picked up. I asked him if I could speak to my boyfriend. He said “maybe in the morning.” I responded with an okay..with a suken heart. A moment passed by and he said

“Listen its not you but my familys having problem. Id appreciate it if you stayed away from him from now on. Something something blahblahblah,thanks.”

I held back my tears said alright,and hung up. I cried and cried. I honestly couldn’t hear everything his father told me but the bottom line was,he didn’t want me to be with my beloved.

Two hours beforehand,me and my boyfriend were laying in bed. We were watching Avatar. He never saw that movie,and it was cute at his reactions. His fingers slowly started curling up with mine,and I felt happy. He then confessed to me “I really love you,I really do. I’m going to try my hardest to convince my parents okay?”

Tears started going down my face…I wanted to object and tell him if he has to go,he should. But deep in my heart I wanted him to stay with me,and only me. More tears came down my face.

“No,please don’t cry! You’re the last person i want to hurt. My dad doesn’t believe in us,but i know everytime i kiss you,I know you’re the one for me. You honestly get me through the day. I hate my family when I was little,you know they always pick fights with me for no reason. Just listen,I want to be with you so much. We waited for this day for so long,and I’m not going to give up on you. My bestfriend. My girlfriend. My wuvy. My everything.”

I prayed to God over and over to make him return to me. I cried tear after tears. But he never came back to me. I gave up homecoming to be with him. While everyone laughed and danced,I was at the hotel alone,and crying. I kept waking up at night to find no one beside me. His shirt was the only thing I had to hold on to. I hate being alone. I tried to fall asleep. Around 2am there was a knock. I knew it wasn’t him,I got scared. I thought it was drunk kids or something. Turns out it was my guy friend who booked the hotel. But at that time I didn’t know who it was so I didn’t open the door. I fell back asleep. I woke up in the morning in tears. I called my dad to drive me home,lying that I was with friends.

I’m home now and i haven’t had the chance to talk to my boyfriend. I don’t know if his dad has his phone or something.

I love him with all my heart. He makes me genuinly smile. I sacraficed my friends for him. He sacraficed his friends to be with me. He changed me for the better. He always objects when I turn pessimistic. Even last night when I knew his parents were going to take him away from me. He told me to stop thinking that and keep faith. He kissed me when I’m in tears,but not last night.I don’t know if his parents will be easier on him if I left him. Probably not. I don’t know if I could live with the fact that I have to leave just because of his dad. I want to be with him. I love him,I’ve never felt a love like this. His dad will not tear us apart. Nothing will tear us apart.

I’m praying that my boyfriend will answer to me soon. I’m praying that things will fall into place.

Hello there. The blog is supposed to run on submissions from Latina and Asian couples themselves, but only a few L&A couples submitted photos. And unfortunately I exhausted the search button on Google and Tumblr 5 months ago and the blog has been dormant since. However, I will do some digging around and see if I can add to the blog.
